Position: TEPPANYAKI CHEF

Job Summary:

As a Teppanyaki Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking delicious and authentic Japanese dishes in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. You will bring your expertise and creativity to our teppanyaki grill, delighting our guests with your impressive cooking skills and engaging personality.

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare and cook a variety of Japanese dishes, mainly on the teppanyaki grill

- Ensure all dishes are prepared and presented according to company standards and recipes

- Maintain a clean and organized work station at all times

- Monitor and manage inventory levels to minimize waste and ensure freshness of ingredients

- Train and supervise junior kitchen staff in proper cooking techniques and food safety procedures

- Collaborate with other chefs and kitchen staff to create new and innovative dishes

- Interact with guests in a friendly and professional manner, providing an entertaining and memorable dining experience

- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation regulations

Qualifications:

- Minimum of 2 years experience as a Teppanyaki Chef in a high-volume restaurant or hotel

- Extensive knowledge of Japanese cuisine and cooking techniques, particularly on the teppanyaki grill

- Strong leadership and communication skills

- Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment

- Excellent time management and organizational skills

- Creativity and passion for creating new and innovative dishes

- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations

- Must be willing to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays

- Must be able to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds
