Position: Assistant Housekeeping Manager

Position Overview:
As the Assistant Housekeeping Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of our hotel's guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities. You will work closely with the Housekeeping Manager to oversee the daily operations of the housekeeping department and ensure that our high standards of cleanliness and hygiene are met.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Housekeeping Manager in managing and supervising the housekeeping team, including hiring, training, and scheduling.
- Ensure that all guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities are cleaned and maintained according to company standards.
- Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and public areas to ensure cleanliness and identify any maintenance or repair needs.
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels of housekeeping supplies and equipment.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as front office and maintenance, to ensure a seamless guest experience.
- Handle guest requests and complaints in a timely and professional manner.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and procedures.
- Assist with budgeting and cost control measures for the housekeeping department.
- Identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to enhance the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the housekeeping department.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a housekeeping management role in a hotel or resort setting.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and train a team.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of housekeeping procedures and techniques, as well as health and safety regulations.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and housekeeping management software.
- Bachelor's degree in hospitality management or a related field is preferred.
