Position: Stewarding Specialist

Job Description:

As a Stewarding Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and dining areas. Your main duties will include washing dishes, cleaning kitchen equipment, and ensuring that all areas are stocked with necessary supplies. You will also be responsible for maintaining a safe and sanitary work environment for all employees.

Key Responsibilities:

- Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and pans using industrial dishwashing equipment

- Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, such as ovens, stoves, and grills

- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen and dining areas

- Stock and restock supplies in designated areas

- Dispose of garbage and recycling properly

- Follow all safety and sanitation guidelines

- Assist with food preparation and plating when needed

- Communicate any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to management

- Work collaboratively with kitchen staff to ensure a smooth and efficient operation

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent

- Previous experience in a similar role preferred

- Knowledge of proper sanitation and safety procedures

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

- Strong communication and teamwork skills

- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds

Contract Details:

This is a full-time position, with a minimum of 40 hours per week. The contract will be for an initial period of one year, with the possibility of extension based on performance. Salary will be competitive and commensurate with experience.
