Position: Pastry Chef

Job Description:

As a Pastry Chef at STAR4Hire's pastry company, you will be responsible for creating delicious and visually appealing pastries for our clients. You will work closely with the Head Chef and other team members to ensure that all pastries are prepared and presented to the highest standard.

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare a variety of pastries, including cakes, cookies, tarts, and other baked goods

- Develop new and creative pastry recipes to keep up with current trends and customer preferences

- Ensure that all pastries are prepared and presented in a timely manner

- Maintain a clean and organized pastry kitchen, following all food safety and sanitation guidelines

- Order and maintain inventory of pastry ingredients and supplies

- Train and supervise junior pastry chefs and kitchen staff

- Collaborate with other departments, such as the event planning team, to create custom pastries for special events

- Stay updated on industry trends and techniques to continuously improve pastry offerings

- Adhere to company policies and procedures at all times

Requirements:

- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or in a similar role

- Degree or certification in pastry arts or a related field

- Strong knowledge of different pastry techniques and methods

- Creative and detail-oriented with a passion for creating visually appealing pastries

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously

- Excellent time management and organizational skills

- Strong leadership and communication skills

- Ability to work independently as well as in a team

- Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

- Must have a valid food handler's certification
